69-year-old Wisconsin man with revoked license arrested for 14th OWI offense

LOWVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) – A 69-year-old man was arrested on Monday night for his 14th Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) offense.

Officials from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy on patrol in Lowville performed a traffic stop on a vehicle with an equipment violation around 9:20 p.m. on Monday.

While speaking with the driver, the deputy noticed signs that the driver may be under the influence. The deputy on the scene conducted an investigation which deemed that the driver was under the influence.

The driver, identified as 69-year-old Robert Dolgner of Pardeeville, did not have a valid license and the deputy learned that he had 13 prior OWI convictions.

Dolgner was subsequently taken to the Columbia County Jail and awaits a court appearance on the following charges:

  • Operating after revocation

  • Failure to install ignition interlock device

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
