Crews work to restore power to thousands in West Michigan
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) β Consumers Energy is working to restore power to thousands of customers following a Saturday morning storm.
What to do during a power outage
According to the Consumers Energy Outage Map, as of about 2:45 p.m., over 29,000 customers across the state of Michigan were without power. In West Michigan, the following outages have been reported in each county:
Few lingering showers and storms possible Saturday afternoon
Most of the power outages in West Michigan were estimated to be restored by the end of Saturday, according to the map.
An area-wide wind advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. Saturday for non-thunderstorm winds gusting as high as 55 mph. A few northern lakeshore communities could gust above 60 mph. The strongest winds will occur from mid-morning through late afternoon.
