Long Island weather: Rain forecast all day Monday; up to 1 inch possible

Long Island is expected to receive three quarters to one inch of rain on Monday with more forecast into the middle of the week.

The National Weather Service predicts a 100 % chance of rainfall on Monday. Monday will see breezy conditions with gusts as high as 32 mph., with temperatures above 50.

Tuesday will see dry conditions with a high in the mid-50s. But precipitation is expected to return early Wednesday, with a 50% chance of a mix of rain snow, forecasters said. The wet weather could continue into the daylight hours, with a high of around 50.
