Amarillo police respond to serious traffic crash at I-40 and Western

The Amarillo Police Department sent out a traffic advisory Wednesday afternoon, asking people to avoid the area at eastbound Interstate 40 and Western, where officers are working at the scene of a serious traffic crash.
Police asked motorists to find a different route, as traffic will be backed up for a while. APD said they will advise when they have cleared the scene of the crash.
