City of Lebanon to welcome new sports complex
LEBANON, Tenn. (WKRN) — A new sports complex is coming to Lebanon. It’s been more than a decade since the city has welcomed a new sports facility tailored for children’s sports.
The Lebanon sports complex will have five soccer fields, a playground, a concession stand and a maintenance facility.

The complex will be available to all, but leaders hope to draw more recreational leagues and travel teams to the complex. Mayor Rick Bell told News 2 that construction has been slower than anticipated, but city leaders think it will be worth the wait.

“The end is in sight as we wrap up construction on the Lebanon Sports Complex,” Bell said. “Although the construction took longer than we hoped, the final product will be something we can all be proud of. Many generations of kids will play on these fields for decades.”
According to the City of Lebanon, the last youth athletic field built by the city was in 2001.

“It’s a beautiful park. The fields have been ready for a long time and they look great,” Bell said. “I think when parents see their kids out there playing, they’re really going to be amazed.”
Bell is already looking to future phases of the complex, which will include fields for baseball, softball and another open field.
