Dead body found near Island Park, Nassau police say

Nassau County police are investigating after the discovery of a dead body Tuesday morning near Island Park, police said.

Homicide detectives were called shortly after 11 a.m. to Railroad Place, near Reynolds Channel and the LIRR tracks when the body was discovered, police said.

The person has not been identified. Detectives and the medical examiner have not determined if the death was suspicious.
