During an Oval Office meeting with President Donald Trump, El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele says he’s not going to return Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was on a work permit in Maryland, back to the United States. In the same meeting, Trump floats deporting U.S. citizens, who he describes as “home grown criminals,” to foreign prisons. “I’d like to include them in the group of people to get them out of the country, but you’ll have to be looking at the laws on that,” Trump says. NBC’s Garrett Haake reports for TODAY from the White House.
