One critically injured in north Lansing shooting
LANSING — A 21-year-old man was critically injured, and a “person of interest” was taken into custody for questioning after a Monday night shooting in north Lansing.
Lansing officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Roosevelt Avenue, northeast of the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard intersection with Willow Stret, around 9:44 p.m. because of reports of multiple shots fired, Lansing Police Sgt. Hayden Erickson said
They also located a shooting victim they were told was inside a nearby vehicle toward Willow Street and Grand River Avenue. He had a life-threatening upper body injury and was transported to a local hospital for treatment, Erickson said.
Police later located the person of interest.
“It’s all related,” Erickson said. “It’s still an ongoing investigation.
