Drone Video Shows ‘Unprecedented Flooding’ in Kentucky’s Dawson Springs
Drone video released by police shows what they described as “unprecedented flooding” in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, on Saturday, April 5, as catastrophic and deadly flooding impacted the state.
“Keep in mind folks, there is still more rain to come,” Dawson Springs Police warned.
On Saturday, police said almost 9.5 inches of rain had fallen over the city over 58 days and warning, “it’s not over.”
The National Weather Service in Paducah warned that “considerable to catastrophic flash flooding” was either ongoing in western Kentucky or would redevelop over Saturday afternoon and night. “A Particularly Dangerous Situation Flood Watch remains in effect for the entire region through late tonight,” the weather service added.
