Helicopter crashes into Northern California waterway
(FOX40.COM) — Local law enforcement is investigating the circumstances behind a helicopter that crashed into a Northern California waterway Saturday morning.

Around 10:57 a.m., the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash at the Modesto Reservoir. The collision involved the pilot and one other individual. Deputies said both people were transported to a hospital for treatment, with one person sustaining major injuries. SCSO said the helicopter involved is not affiliated with the sheriff’s office.

As a result of the incident, the waterway at Modesto Reservoir has been closed, however, the park remains open for shore-based activities, according to SCSO.
