Highest snow totals across Middle TN

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The winter system has moved out of Middle Tennessee and snowy streets, yards and neighborhoods are left behind.

These are the highest reported at each locations, not necessarily the entire town. For example, Mt. Juliet had reports of 3.3″, 3.5″, & 5″. Nashville was 3.9″ at the airport, but there was also a report of 4.5″.

The daily snowfall record in Nashville was broken yesterday! The record stood at 3.0″ from 1895 and Nashville reached 3.9″ of snowfall accumulation!

Through the rest of the weekend, temperatures will reach the mid 30s for highs today and the lower 40s on Sunday. This will lead to some melting, but refreezing will occur overnight as lows drop into the 20s and teens.

The development is black ice in spots is likely, However, the salt used on main roads worked well. Neighborhoods and side streets will be the slickest.
