Historic SS United States Arrives In Mobile Bay

The historic SS United States arrived in Mobile Bay Monday, where it will undergo work before being turned into an artificial reef off the coast of Okaloosa County, Florida, and near Destin and Fort Walton Beach. The former ocean liner first sailed in 1952 and carried a million passengers over its lifetime, including four who were or would become presidents. It left Philadelphia Feb. 19, where it had been sitting in decay for 30 years.
