The Ohio Department of Transportation confirmed the road was shut down in that area due to a crash, after previously saying there were just two lanes blocked. The road didn’t reopen until about 7 p.m.

Cleveland Division of Fire then said that three vehicles were involved in the crash. One car was reportedly shielding another car on the side of the highway while a person was changing a tire. Then a third vehicle hit the two others.

At least two people were taken to the hospital, the fire department said. The extent of the injuries are not clear.

FOX 8 will continue to update this story as more is learned.
