Kevin Parada sees his Mets freefall as a blessing in disguise

PORT ST. LUCIE — Kevin Parada has yet to show why the Mets drafted him in the first round in 2022.

He’s free falling down their prospect rankings, and this spring training has nearly become an afterthought. 

But he’s trying to see the bright side of his brutal 2024 season at Double-A Binghamton. 

“No one wants to struggle at all, that’s always frustrating,” Parada told The Post on Monday. “I think it was good for my development as a player to struggle a little bit right there, being able to learn a little bit more about myself. I’m lucky enough to get another opportunity, doing my best to take full advantage of it.”
