After a seven-year drought, Nine Inch Nails is returning to New York.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees just announced their international ‘Peel It Back Tour’ that will send them to arenas all over North America and Europe from June through September.

Near the end of the run, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ industrial group will headline Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

This gig will be NIN’s first in the five borough’s since 2018’s ‘Cold and Black and Infinite’ run where they played a pair of gigs at both NYC’s Radio City Music Hall and Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre.

Most recently, Reznor and Ross embarked on a brief amphitheater tour in 2022 in support of their 2020 albums “Ghosts V: Together” and “Ghosts VI: Locusts.” Since then, the duo has not released any music — other than a 2021 single — under the NIN banner. As of now, there is no word on whether a new record will accompany the tour.

That being said, they have provided the iconic scores for “Challengers,” and a number of other films in the intervening years.

Will they play cuts from “Social Network,” “Gone Girl” or “Soul” along with NIN classics on this go-round?

While we can’t say for sure, we do know the best way to find out is live.

Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming North American Nine Inch Nails shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale is Wednesday, Jan. 29.

Nine Inch Nails new music

As noted above, Nine Inch Nails dropped a pair of albums in 2020.

In their review,  Pitchfork said the records “(alternate) between hope and dread in sprawling ambient meditations.”

On top of the “Challengers” score, Reznor and Ross also provided the music for “Bones and All” (2022), “Empire of Light” (2022), “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” (2023), “The Killer” (2023) and “Queer” (2024) over the past few years.
