Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis have affectionate reunion promoting ‘Freaky Friday’ sequel at CinemaCon
Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis reunited to promote their forthcoming “Freaky Friday” sequel during an affectionate appearance at CinemaCon.
The actresses, who portray an on-screen mother and daughter, wrapped their arms around each other while speaking to the audience at Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace on Thursday.
“We can’t begin to tell you how amazing it’s been to be back in Ana and Tessa’s shoes,” Lohan said, referring to her and Curtis’ characters, respectively.
Curtis, 66, teased that the Disney sequel is “freakier” than the original 2003 movie, which saw her swap bodies with Lohan, who played her teenage daughter.
The “Halloween” star shared that fans will see her like “never before thanks to a very aggressive teenage makeover,” per People.
“This time we have doubled the swaps,” she revealed.
“We made this movie this year with love, a lot of love, and we made it specifically to be experienced on the big screen and with a big crowd,” Curtis continued.
“The only way you should see a ‘Freaky Friday’ movie.”
The “True Lies” star sported a yellow suit, while Lohan, 38, donned a mini purple dress.
They walked off stage holding hands with massive smiles.
In August 2024, Lohan and Curtis were photographed filming the highly anticipated film on the beach in Malibu.
They shared a warm embrace while splashing around in the water.
That same month, Curtis took to Instagram to share she and the “Parent Trap” star wrapped up filming after “lots of laughs” and “a little blood, much sweat and copious tears.”
The onscreen mother-daughter duo have stayed close throughout the past few decades, with Curtis often cheering for Lohan on social media.
“Freakier Friday” is set to be released in theaters on Aug. 8, 2025.
