Where to buy tickets, see Joe Keery
No, youâre not in the Upside Down.
Djo â aka Joe Keery who plays Steve Harrington in âStranger Thingsâ â just announced heâs hitting the road from February through June on his âBack On You World Tourâ with his former band Post Animal serving as the special guest on all dates.
To close the U.S. leg of the global run, the 32-year-old singer-songwriter will play three consecutive gigs at Brooklyn Steel on Monday, May 5, Tuesday, May 6 and Wednesday, May 7.
The tour, which includes shows in New Zealand, Australia, North America and Europe, comes in support of Djoâs forthcoming third studio album âThe Crux.â At the time of publication, the tongue-in-cheek lead single âBasic Being Basicâ is available on all streaming platforms.
âMore to come,â Keery shared on Instagram. âSee you soon, finally.â

Djo new music
On Jan. 24, Djo dropped the lead single âBasic Being Basicâ from his upcoming album âThe Crux,â which is due out April 4.
Clocking in at 2:38, the track instantly grabs you with Keeryâs disaffected spoken-word staccato before transitioning to a silky smooth, high-pitched chorus all while poking fun at the idea of, you guessed it, being basic.
âItâs kind of a shot fired to anyone whoâs trying to be of the moment.â
If anything, the song is a departure from Djoâs earnest sound into something more akin to Talking Heads, Devo or The B-52âs. Needless to say, we loved it.
To hear for yourself, you can find âBasic Being Basicâ here.
Post Animal
Keeryâs former band â he played with them from 2014-19 â is joining him on the road for all non-festival dates on the multi-country trek.
For those unfamiliar with the group, Post Animal is a psych rock/prog pop act with a dreamlike sensibility and fun-loving streak. Think Tame Impala or King Gizzad and the Lizard Wizard and youâll have an idea of their bombastic yet intimate sound.
If youâre hoping to do a deep dive ahead of the Djo show, a good place to start is their trippy âWhen I Get Home,â ethereal âEverywhere All At Onceâ and radio-friendly âRalphie.â
Really you canât go wrong with any track of theirs, though. The quintet does not disappoint.
You can hear all of Post Animalâs music here.
âStranger Thingsâ Season Five
The final season of âStranger Thingsâ hits Netflix in either October or November 2025.
According to Whatâs On Netflix, itâs likely not all episodes will drop on the streaming service at once. Although not confirmed, rumors are circulating that the show is releasing the seriesâ swan song in multiple installments similar to what they did with Season Four back in summer 2022.
Huge artists on tour in 2025
Although no artist sounds quite like Djo â although Post Animal is close â here are five on the road this year that are similar enough that we think youâd enjoy catching them live.
â˘Â Lord Huron
â˘Â The Driver Era
â˘Â Foster The People
â˘Â Wallows
â˘Â Finneas
