Major delivery changes to UPS as service shifts from US Postal Service
Not receiving your packages on time? A few delivery services might be the blame.
According to a report, an expire contract agreement between UPS and the US Postal Service has delayed millions of packages across the country.
United Parcel Service SurePost, an economy delivery service for non-urgent, residential shipments will no longer deliver those last minute packages to P.O. Boxes, military destinations and locations outside the Continental U.S.

The change returns millions of packages to UPS package cars for final-mile delivery.
“Millions of packages moved away from SurePost and the United States Postal Service and returned to UPS package cars this month, now being sorted and delivered by hardworking UPS Teamsters,” the union said in a Facebook post.
The Facebook post also states how an agreement secured by the union increased the number of packages put back on UPS trucks by reducing size limitations for SurePost parcels that returned millions of packages to Regular Package Car drivers, creating thousands of new Teamsters jobs.
Consumers who used SurePost or who are expecting deliveries to a P.O. box can have them redirected to a street address by signing up for UPS MyChoice, according to a USAToday report.
