It looks like North Carolina State will be gaining some aura next season.
McNeese State student manager Amir Khan, who has gone viral, is reportedly expected to follow Will Wade to NC State for the upcoming NCAA season.
Khan will be a graduate assistant for the Wolfpack and will have other responsibilities that are not yet determined, according to CBS Sports.
This move comes just three days after Wade reached an agreement with NC State to take over as their newest head coach next season.
Wade made it clear that his players at McNeese State were in the loop about his decisions.
āI lay it all out there to my players, and my players have laid it all out there to me,ā Wade told reporters. āWe are transparent. Weāve shared it all with each other.ā
Following an upset win over Clemson in the first round of March Madness, McNesse Stateās dreams were ultimately cut short after losing 76-62 to Purdue on Saturday.
Wade has previously credited part of the teamās success to Khan hyping up the players for each game.
āIt gets our guys excited, it gets our guys off to a fast start, if you donāt get off to a start itās hard to play well,ā Wade said.
Khan quickly rose to fame after McNeese Stateās athletic director recorded him holding a boombox while he led the basketball team before a game in February.
In the weeks since, Khan ā nicknamed āAuraā by members of McNeese State basketball team ā emerged as a social media sensation at the start of the NCAA Tournament.

Khanās most recent NIL deal is with Topps trading cards, who announced he will also be featured on a limited-edition card.
āIt means a lot. I never expected any attention as a manager, so to receive all of the love and support I received over the last few weeks really means a lot to me,ā KhanĀ said in an interview with Fox Sports. āBut Iām really focused on trying to do what I do for the team and helping them do what they can on the court.ā
