Marjorie Taylor Greene Accidentally Defies Trump With Hilarious Self-Own
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) drew mockery on Tuesday for accidentally doing one thing she claims to be furiously against.
Namely, referring to the body of water that President Donald Trump has controversially decreed shall now be called the āGulf of Americaā by its name of hundreds of years, the Gulf of Mexico.
Greeneās gaffe came on the Elon Musk-owned platform X, formerly Twitter, when she hyped the upcoming presentation of her bill, the Gulf of America Act, which she hopes will ācodify President Trumpās executive orderā renaming the water.
āMexican cartels currently use the Gulf of Mexico to traffic humans, drugs, weapons, and God knows what else while the Mexican government allows them to do it,ā the firebrand lawmaker alleged, using the Trump-banned name.
āThe rightful name is the Gulf of America and itās what the entire world should call it,ā she added.

Greene later edited her post so that the second paragraph just referenced āthe Gulfā rather than her original āGulf of Mexicoā line, which would have betrayed Trumpās demand.
But the original post remained online, archived.
And the internet didnāt forget.
Other critics suggested there were more pressing issues at hand.
