Detroit Lions star Terrion Arnold shares video of him slipping down stairs: ‘Had a rough morning’
Detroit Lions star cornerback Terrion Arnold took quite the tumble β but it wasn’t on the football field.
The 21-year-old Florida native posted a video to his X account Thursday showing him fall down a flight of stairs in his home.
The video shows Arnold, phone in hand, walking down the flight of stairs before his foot slips and he lands on his back. His phone flies out of his hand and the cornerback takes the entire flight on his back before making it to the end, where he sits there for a few seconds. The video then cuts off.
βHad a rough morning,β the 21-year-old captioned the video, along with some laughing crying emojis.
The video received 1.6 million views and over 33,000 likes on X. Fans in the comment section joined Arnold in laughing at his tumble.
One commenter shared a screenshot of Arnold sat at the end of the staircase, appearing to ponder what had just happened to him.
“bro had enough,” the commenter captioned the screenshot.
“They way you looked back for your phone as you were sliding down,” another commenter wrote, adding a skull emoji.
Another fan urged the valuable rookie to please be more careful with his phone for the sake of the team.
“Major player, please refrain from playin on your phone when youβre walking around, we donβt ever want to lose you to a missstep,” they wrote. “Dear Lord, please keep our finely tuned star DB safe from his surroundings. We love him.”
Arnold was an All-American defensive back at the University of Alabama, picked by Detroit in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft. The rookie chose to wear the number 0 on his jersey, telling ESPN it’s because “ain’t nobody like me.”
He became an immediate contributor to the Lions, helping the team tally a franchise best 15-2 record and earn the No. 1 seed in the NFC, also a franchise first. But that magical season came to an end last week as Detroit fell to Washington in the divisional round of the playoffs.
