NYPD: Man set on fire near Times Square; search on for attacker
A 45-year-old man was set on fire by an unknown attacker early Sunday near Times Square, the NYPD said.
The victim, who was not publicly identified, was taken from Seventh Avenue and 41st Street in an ambulance to Weill Cornell Hospital in stable condition following the 4 a.m. attack, police said.
A video posted on YouTube by Freedom News TV shows the victim suffered burns on his face and shoulders.
Police said they are investigating the attack but no arrests have been made.
Police could not say whether the man was targeted or the victim of a random attack.
