Person arrested outside UnitedHealthcare campus in Minnesota
A person on Monday was apprehended at UnitedHealthcare’s campus in Minnesota, police said, more than four months after the company’s CEO was gunned down in New York City.
The Minnetonka Police Department said in a statement that there was “a large police presence at the United Healthcare campus” in the Minneapolis suburb after a suspect was “placed into custody without incident.”
“There is no threat to the public,” police added.
The arrest came nearly 19 weeks since UnitedHealthcare Brian Thompson was fatally shot outside a New York City hotel.
A nationwide manhunt ended five days later when suspect Luigi Mangione, 26, was arrested at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania, police said.
This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
