Pittsburgh Native Aaron Donald Posts Eye-Popping Photo
More than a year ago, former Pitt Panthers star Aaron Donald announced his retirement from the NFL. Now, 13 months later, he still looks as ferocious as ever.
Donald, one of the league’s all-time most dominant defensive tackles while with the Los Angeles Rams, is no longer chasing quarterbacks. But he clearly isn’t neglecting his workout regimen, either.

He showed off his 33-year old, retired body on Instagram on Monday and he drew rave reviews.
“This is what retired life look like,” Donald wrote on social media.
Donald had accumulated 111 sacks and 24 forced fumbles during his career which will eventually end up in Canton. The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year retired while in peak shape and performance.
After announcing his retirement, he explained how he reached the decision when interviewed with his wife Erica.
“I think the passion to play the game is no longer there for me,” Donald said. “I will always love football, but to think about going through another campaign and another 17-game season, I just don’t got the urge to want to push myself through that no more,” Donald said at the time. “I’m just, I’m burnt out.”

Donald did add a year ago when he made the initial comments that he felt satisfied with his career.
“The best way to say it is I’m full, I’m complete. I’m satisfied with what I was able to do in 10 years. It think it’s time for me, at 32 years old, to retire from football and jump into the next step of my career, my life. Now, it’s time to move on,” Donald said.
