Police: 13-year-old crashes stolen car on parkway
A 13-year-old boy who was driving a stolen vehicle is facing charges along with his teenage passenger after he crashed and overturned the car on William Floyd Parkway Friday morning, Suffolk County police said.
Around 6:50 a.m., the teen was driving a stolen 2008 Hyundai with a 14-year-old male passenger in Ridge when the car went off the roadway and overturned into a wooded area.
The teens were taken to a hospital for evaluation, but do not have serious injuries, police said.
Both will be charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, police said.
