Montrose teacher arrested for ‘sexual communications’ with a student
MONTROSE, Colo. (KREX) — A Montrose teacher was arrested Friday following an investigation into alleged inappropriate activities between her and a student.
On Dec. 31, Montrose Police Department officers received a report from a student’s father of ongoing, inappropriate communications between a teacher and a student at Colorado West Christian School.
Lisa Thyre, 44 years old, was arrested and booked into Montrose County Jail on the following charges:

Unlawful electronic sexual communications (persuade to meet).

Unlawful sexual communications (expose or touch).

Conspiracy to commit tampering with physical evidence.

Tampering with physical evidence.
Thyre’s bond was set at $10,000.
