Richard Sherman says family robbed at gunpoint with wife, kids in house
Richard Sherman said his house was robbed by a gunman while his wife and kids were inside in a post on Monday on X.
The former All-Pro cornerback, whose family is safe and âvery shaken up,â included surveillance photos of the accused robbers and asked for help identifying them.
âHouse being robbed at gun point with my family in it isnât what anyone wants for a birthday gift,â Sherman wrote. âScary situation that my Wife handled masterfully and kept my kids safe.â
âIf anyone has any info that can help find these people please reach out.â
Sherman and his wife, Ashley Moss, have two children, Rayden and Avery.
The images showed two men, including one who appeared to be holding a gun and a duffle bag, walking through the kitchen and living room of Shermanâs home.
Law enforcement confirmed that an incident occurred at Shermanâs home and that itâs âcurrently an open and active investigation,â according to TMZ.
The accused robbers have yet to be found as of Monday, Moss said in a note on her Instagram Story.
She explained that she woke up to intruders outside her bedroom.
âPeople are so shâty! Come in my house middle of the night with guns and threaten my family!!!â Moss wrote, according to TMZ.
A surveillance video, which was posted to Mossâ Instagram Story, showed three men entering through a window.
âThis is what a coward looks like!â she wrote. âIf this is your family, friend, brother, etc.. do the right thing.â
The surveillance video was dated, March 25, 2025.
Moss also thanked those who checked in on their family.
âIt is truly appreciated,â she wrote. âThe kids and I are physically ok. Very shaken up ad hope to find these people soon. Waking up to intruders outside your bedroom with a gun is something no one should have to experience. Like I said they tried the wrong people! We WILL find you!â
Sherman played 11 NFL seasons and won a Super Bowl with the Seahawks in 2014.
In 2022, he joined Amazon Prime Videoâs âThursday Night Footballâ coverage, but did not rule out a return to the field.
