Semi Hauling ‘Expensive Cargo’ of Eggs Crashes on Oklahoma Highway
A semi-truck carrying a trailer full of eggs crashed on a highway near Miami, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, February 18, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) said.
“This crash happened today on the Will Rogers Turnpike. Fortunately, there were only minor injuries. But the semi was hauling eggs! Expensive cargo right now,” the OHP said.
An outbreak of bird flu in poultry that began in 2022 has wiped out about 160 million chickens, turkeys, and other birds in the United States, contributing to egg shortages.
