Fans roast Rihanna’s karaoke performance: ‘The mic was bleeding’

Fans are asking Rihanna to please stop the music!

The Grammy winner was roasted on social media after videos began circulating online of her performing at the Girls Love Karaoke event in New York City on Sunday.

Rihanna — who hasn’t released an album since 2016 — was slammed for her vocals while performing her hits “Needed Me” and “Sex With Me.”

“Chii [sic] 😭 the mic was bleeding,” a one user wrote in response to the pop star’s singing, while another netizen posted, “Help this is horrible 😭😭.”

A third fan echoed the criticism, commenting, “I didn’t know singing a simple note was this hard.”

Meanwhile, a fourth user couldn’t believe their ears, wondering, “Is this really Rihanna? My cat can sing better.”

Another person replied, “That voice is gone 😭😭❤️.”

While many criticized the Fenty Beauty founder’s pitch, other diehard fans defended the songstress from the haters.

“Awee she’s having fun,” one supporter wrote, while a second gushed, “Her voice reminds me of Whitney Houston.”

Several others called out Rihanna, 36, for performing at the karaoke event rather than releasing new music.

“So she wanna f–k around with karaoke instead of getting her ass in the booth. wtf Rihanna 😒,” a disgruntled fan wrote.

“Like karaoke to your own 2016 hit with nothing new released to the public?!!?” another fan captioned a meme that read, “Pathetic.”

While at the event, Rihanna opted for a casual ensemble that featured a graphic T-shirt, jeans and Bottega Veneta boots ($1,400). She also styled the look with an oversized brown fur hat.

Last month, the billionaire musician fueled music retirement rumors when she gave a speech about God having “other plans” for her career.

“Music was the thing that got the attention, but God had other plans for me,” she said at an event in early November.

The Savage X Fenty designer previously teased that she would release new music in 2019, however, Rihanna continues to focus on her lingerie and cosmetic brands.
