South Korea’s Yoon leaves presidential residence after ouster

At least one supporter was seen crying while others cheered and waved South Korean flags as Yoon appeared, waving to the largely youth crowd and hugging them.

Moving trucks and heavy police presence were seen around the presidential residence and Yoon’s private home on Friday.

The Constitutional Court last Friday (April 4) upheld Yoon’s impeachment, capping four months of unprecedented constitutional turmoil after his short-lived attempt to impose martial law in December sent shockwaves through Asia’s fourth-largest economy.
