Kamala Harris campaign lied about ‘not making time’ for ex-VP

Joe Rogan said former aides to Kamala Harris lied when they claimed in a new book that the Spotify podcaster refused to make time for the ex-vice president during the election campaign because he instead preferred to interview President Donald Trump.

Rogan looked to set the record straight after reports suggested his team misled Harris’s campaign about a potential appearance on “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

“This whole idea that we f–ked her over and we f–ked her over for Trump — incorrect, just not true,” Rogan said on Tuesday’s episode of his podcast.

Rogan disputed allegations from the new book “Fight: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House,” which details Harris insiders’ frustrations with the booking process.

According to the book written by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes, Harris’s campaign went so far as to arrange a Houston event with Beyoncé on October 25 to align with a possible Rogan interview in nearby Austin.

However, they were later informed the date was unavailable due to a personal day — coincidentally the same day Rogan interviewed Donald Trump.

Rogan pushed back, saying the claims were inaccurate and that his team never deceived Harris’s camp.

“This whole idea that we screwed her over for Trump is just not true,” Rogan said.

“One of the things they said that wasn’t true was that we lied about the day Trump was coming on. We just didn’t tell them because they hadn’t committed to doing the show.”

Rogan explained that booking Trump was effortless.

“Trump was super easy. We offered one day. He said, ‘Yes.’ That was it,” he said. “There was no back-and-forth, no stipulations, no edits — just a straightforward booking. Harris’s team, on the other hand, never fully committed.”

He also refuted claims that Harris’s team had conducted a walk-through of his studio.

“That’s not true. These people didn’t have a date. They never agreed to do the show,” he insisted.

Rogan claimed he originally hoped to air both interviews on the same day and even offered Harris a late-night slot after her Houston event.

“But no one ever committed to doing it,” he said. “They keep pretending that I lied.”

Following Trump’s appearance, Rogan said Harris’s team offered to have him travel to Washington, DC, for an interview, but under strict conditions.

“They only wanted to do 45 minutes to an hour, and it wouldn’t be on my set,” he explained.

“I told them, ‘Look, Trump did it here. We should do it here too’.”

Harris’s team also allegedly requested staff members and a stenographer to be present.

Rogan took issue with these stipulations, noting that Trump had come alone without any conditions.

“It was very controlled, and they were really concerned about the podcast not being edited,” he said.

“My manager asked if she was committed, and the answer was ‘No’.”

Rogan suggested that internal disagreements within Harris’s team may have played a role in the breakdown.

“There were some people on her staff who were against her doing it,” he said.

“They thought it was bad optics because they’re a bunch of wokesters.”

Reflecting on the fallout, Rogan speculated that Harris’s campaign regretted the decision after seeing Trump’s interview attract 50 million views.

“I think then they thought, ‘What the hell? We should have done it’,” he said.

Rogan also claimed to have receipts documenting the discussions.

“We have a whole list of conversations that took place,” he said.

“I think someone is trying to cover their ass for the fact that she never did it.”

According to Rogan, the book’s authors never reached out to him for his side of the story.

“They supposedly talked to 150 people about this, but they didn’t talk to us,” he said.

“That’s kind of crazy.”
