St. John’s eliminated by Arkansas in March Madness second round
St. John’s season is over — much earlier than it had hoped.
The Red Storm were bounced in the second round of the NCAA Tournament by John Calipari’s Arkansas, 75-66, on Saturday.
Big East Player of the Year RJ Luis Jr. struggled mightily (3-for-17 from the field and nine points) and sat for the final minutes of the game in a stunner.
The Razorbacks now advance to the Sweet Sixteen, while St. John’s season ends on a sour note.
