Suspect shoots man in parking lot of QuikTrip in St. Louis
ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reports that officers responded to a shooting at the QuikTrip located in the 2800 block of Gravois at around 7:45 p.m.
Officers say they found a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his lower back.
A witness told officers that the victim and other men on scene were working a painting job for the suspect who shot the 27-year-old. They were meeting with the man at the QuikTrip for payment, but the man refused to pay them. The suspect then got in his car and drove away before firing shots into the work van.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
This investigation is ongoing.
