Teddi Mellencamp rings bell confirming stage 4 cancer diagnosis
Teddi Mellencamp is making major moves in her cancer treatment.
The âReal Housewives of Beverly Hillsâ alum rang âthe good luck bellâ to honor her âlast day of radiationâ in a video shared via Instagram Stories on Thursday.
Mellencamp, 43, told her followers that she has âfive more rounds of immunotherapy to go.â
She concluded, âLove you all for the kind messages.â
In the emotional social media upload, the former Bravolebrity held her âgraduation papersâ while reading a poem beside the bell.
âRing this bell three times well,â she said. âItâs told to clearly say, âMy treatmentâs done, the course is done, and I am on my way.’â
John Mellencampâs daughterâs health battle began in 2022 when she was diagnosed with skin cancer and subsequently underwent more than 15 surgeries.
In February, while navigating her split from estranged husband Edwin Arroyave, Teddi revealed another health scare â this time, multiple brain tumors.
Arroyave, who shares three children with the reality TV star, supported her during the emergency surgery.
The duo put their divorce proceedings âon holdâ as Teddi found out there were more tumors in her brain and lungs and received a stage 4 diagnosis.
She called this a âscaryâ stage on her Instagram Story on Wednesday â but hit back at âheartbreakingâ comments from concerned followers fearing her death.
âOf course I know the chances,â the âTwo Tâs in a Podâ co-host said. âBut I truly believe with my whole heart I will beat this and watch my kids graduate.â
Teddi admitted to Us Weekly on Wednesday that she no longer tells her little ones her signature reassurance that âmoms always come back.â
She explained, âI donât want to lie to them. And I donât know.â
The accountability coach is the mother of daughter Slate, 12, son Cruz, 10, and daughter Dove, 5, as well as a stepmother to Arroyaveâs 16-year-old daughter, Isabella.
