The Governor Of Illinois Is Trolling Donald Trump By Renaming The Great Lakes
Hello! If you haven’t checked Google Maps recently, then you are probably unaware that Google has officially changed the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America.”
Yep, it’s real.

Well, the governor of Illinois had an important announcement regarding his own renaming of long-established geographical places:

First off, Gov. Pritzker announced he would be renaming Lake Michigan to Lake Illinois.
Don’t worry, he has already forwarded the declaration to Google. Given how quickly they responded to the Gulf of America situation, I expect this to be resolved soon.
In lieu of Trump wanting to “buy” Greenland, Gov. Pritzker also announced that Illinois would be annexing Green Bay, Wisconsin.
And just when you thought he went too far, he says he has an announcement about the Mississippi River next week.
Well, people are enthusiastic about the changes!

“THAT’S MY GOVERNOR!!!!! WE HAVE YOUR BACK,” this person said.
“Lake Illinois?! What a genius idea. The world needs more people like him,” another person said.
And this person suggested he go one step further and change Wisconsin to “North Illinois” and Michigan to “East Illinois.”
But not everyone is so happy about the changes, mainly people from Wisconsin and Michigan.

“We Michiganders would like a word…” this person asked.
“Nope I’m from Michigan! It stays Lake Michigan,” another person chimed in.
And this person pointed out, “Why Lake Illinois y’all own like 10% of it?”
I guess we’ll have to see what Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer says about it.
