The secret of how Karl-Anthony Towns unlocked Knicks offense

On that spectacular sequence Tuesday night, Karl-Anthony Towns looked like the player who inspired him to wear No. 32.

Towns picked up a steal near the top of the defensive key and, without dribbling, faked a pass behind his back. It sent Indianaโ€™s Tyrese Haliburton, who was more concerned with arguing with the referee (an epidemic in the NBA), flailing by.

Towns then started a break with teammates running on both sides.

โ€œI knew it was either going to be a pass to me or Mikal [Bridges],โ€ Josh Hart told The Post. โ€œSo I was just waiting to see whatever the heck he did.
