Victoria Tentler-Krylov’s “Masterpiece” | The New Yorker

For the cover of the March 17, 2025, issue, Victoria Tentler-Krylov depicts a scene that takes place daily in kitchens across the city. “I’m unable to exactly follow or re-create any recipe, including my own,” Tentler-Krylov said. “When I cook or bake, I get lost in the creative process. Sometimes it’s a success, and other times—well, art requires sacrifice.”
