Victoria Beckham shows united front with David after affair rumors with ex-assistant
Victoria Beckham is keeping her man close.
The singer-turned-fashion designer shared a series of photos with her husband, David Beckham, via Instagram on Monday, March 31.
The post came just hours after Davidâs ex-assistant, Rebecca Loos, appeared on â60 Minutes Australiaâ to repeat claims from 2004 about her alleged four-month affair with the former soccer star.
âWhat a way to begin the first of many birthday celebrations for [David Beckham], surrounded by friends and family,â Victoria, 50, captioned the four photos ahead of her husbandâs milestone 50th birthday on May 2. âKisses from Miami!â
Victoriaâs post featured her and David alongside three of their four kids â including sons Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 13. Brooklyn Beckham, 26, was not in the family shots.
On Sunday, Loos, 47, doubled down on claims that she and David had engaged in an affair more than two decades ago. According to the ex-assistant, she and the former athlete hooked up roughly five years after David and Victoria married in July 1999.
âIn my opinion, it was a very brave thing to do to go up against them,â Loos said over the weekend. âI have stuck to the truth. Iâve never exaggerated. I never lied about a single thing.â
âWhy?â she continued. âBecause Iâm going up against the strongest, most powerful couple in the media who have all the money in the world for the best PR, the best lawyers.â
âAnd all I had on my side was the truth,â Loos added.
Elsewhere in the interview, Loos â who married a Norwegian doctor, Sven Christjar Skaiaa, in 2012 â said she fell âhook, line and sinker for every single cliche lineâ that David allegedly said during that time.
âAnd then two weeks later we were at Ronaldoâs birthday party and heâs off with this beautiful model,â she claimed. âAnd I was like, âUh.â That was a hard night for me. That was like, âUh, I donât understand.â And realizations started to hit that Iâd been massively played.â
Loos originally came forward in 2004 to claim that David had invited her to a hotel while his wife was out of town. The allegations resurfaced in 2023 when the Netflix docuseries âBeckhamâ was released.
âI always had the opinion of itâs better that it comes from me and that I have some sort of control,â she said of her decision to first come forward 21 years ago. âAnd also by doing that, it was a way of me sort of⊠not getting back at him, but sort of⊠yeah.â
âI kind of felt the way he treated me was very unfair â what he was getting away with,â the mom-of-two continued. âThat two-faced life. I felt that I know how much his image means to him.â
âI just kind of wanted to make him feel some pain too,â she added on Sunday. âIt sounds very vindictive to say, but when youâre 26 years old, itâs how you react to heartache and pain.â
David has repeatedly denied Loosâ allegations. He and Victoria also alluded to the ex-assistantâs claims in the Netflix docuseries.
âThere were some horrible stories that were difficult to deal with,â David said at the time. âIt was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage.â
âIt was the hardest period for us,â the former Spice Girl added. âBecause it felt like the world was against us. And hereâs the thing, we were against each other if Iâm being completely honest.â
Loos later repeated her allegations following the release of the show. She claimed the stories were âhorribleâ but âtrue.â She also shaded David for âindirectly suggestingâ that she was the one who âmade Victoria suffer.â
âYes, the stories were horrible, but theyâre true,â Loos said. âHe talks in the documentary about this ultimately being his private life, shutting it down.â
âI think itâs one thing to keep your private life to yourself,â she added. âItâs another thing to mislead the public.â
