Influencer Lauren Cummings Johnson’s baby daughter dies at 9 months old
Influencer Lauren Cummings Johnson and her husband Wilson Johnson are mourning the tragic loss of their baby girl.
The pair, who had welcomed their daughter Lily Ann in July 2024, revealed in a heartbreaking post on social media that the 9-month-old had tragically died on April 6.
âShe was exactly 9 months old, 9 months our beautiful miracle, 9 months of a love, joy, and sunshine in our home and hearts,â the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post.
âWe are so incredibly grateful for the promise of Heaven and the hope we have in our Heavenly Father.â
âHis ways are higher and better than ours, even when we donât understand it. He blessed us every single day for the past 9 months and we will never be the same,â the duo added.
The Johnsons did not share the cause of their daughterâs death with their 50,000 followers on the platform, though Lauren had told fans last year that Lily Ann had been diagnosed with Citrullinemia type 1 (CTLN1).
The rare genetic condition, which left her in hospice care for months, is caused by an enzyme deficiency, leading to a buildup of ammonia in the body, according to the National Organization of Rare Disorders.
The couple, who are based in Nashville, Tenn., added that it had been the âhonor of our lifetimeâ to serve as Lily Annâs parents, and thanked their followers for their prayers and well wishes.
âWe know so many of you loved her and prayed for her. She was pure joy and sunshine,â they wrote.
âWe always said she was a real life angel đŒđŒ. What a blessing it was to be her mom and dad. Thank you Jesus and thank you Lily Ann for changing our lives forever!â
The pairâs heartfelt post included several images of them as a family, including some photos of Lily Ann.
The post, shared with Laurenâs 46,000 followers on the platform, was set to CeCe Winansâ song âCome Jesus Come.â
Fans immediately rushed to the comments section to pay their respects.
Taking to her Instagram Story later, Lauren admitted that she has been finding it âso hardâ to continue posting on social media following her daughterâs death.
Lily Ann will be paid to rest at a private funeral in Nashville on April 14.
