📰 NEW YORK POST

‘Wolf Man,’ ‘September 5,’ + More

This week, the newest film from horror legend Leigh Whannell, Wolf Man, arrives on VOD, along with several other big titles. You can also catch the tense historical drama September 5, along with Julia Stiles’ directorial debut, Wish You Were Here.

Wish You Were Here, a romantic drama, stars Isabelle Fuhrman as a young woman who experiences a memorable night with a great guy (Mena Massoud), only to discover he’s terminally ill. The film, based on the book by Renee Carlino, co-stars Jennifer Grey, Jordan Gavaris and Kelsey Grammer.

These are just a few of the films that are available to watch on Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, YouTube, and through your cable service this week. Check out what movies are available to buy or rent on demand now.

Julia Garner stars in the newest creeper from writer-director Leigh Whannell, Wolf Man. The Blumhouse picture co-stars Christopher Abbott as Blake, a man who inherits a cabin from his father who mysteriously vanished. Blake brings his wife Charlotte (Garner) and daughter to the cabin for a weekend away, buts soon after they arrive, he’s attacked by an animal and begins exhibiting signs that he’s not quite himself anymore.

September 5 offers a new perspective on the Israeli hostage crisis that besieged the 1972 Munich Olympics. Told from the vantage point of the media crew covering the Olympics, including Roone Arledge (Peter Sarsgaard), Geoffrey Mason (John Magaro) and Marvin Bader (Ben Chaplin), the film focuses on the live broadcast of the events that unfolded when terrorists from the Black September organization captured and eventually killed a group of Israeli athletes, and the choice to report the news (despite its inaccuracies) in real time.
